Heavy metal giants Iron Maiden released their eighth studio album, “No Prayer For The Dying,” on October 1, 1990. The LP was the group’s first with guitarist Janick Gers. The band cut down on their epic pretenses for the album, recording songs that all clocked in at under six minutes. They also minimized their use of synthesizers, which characterized the sound of Maiden’s previous two albums, “Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son” and “Somewhere In Time.” The album also contained Iron Maiden’s only number one single to date, “Bring Your Daughter . . . To The Slaughter.”
