Results of the Federal House Finance Agency's house price survey for February showed that the headline index rose 0.7 percent on month following a 0.6 percent increase in the previous month. Economists had expected a 0.5 percent growth in February.
The US dollar held steady against its major counterparts after the report. As of 9:03 am ET, the greenback was trading at 98.90 against the yen, 1.5250 against the pound, 0.9408 against the Swiss franc and 1.2986 against the euro.
