The Australian and NZ dollars lost ground against the U.S. currency in early European deals on Wednesday.
The aussie fell to a fresh 11-month low of 0.9852 against the greenback, down from Tuesday's close of 0.9888.
The kiwi fell to 0.8174 against the greenback, its lowest since March 14. The next support level for the kiwi-greenback pair is seen around 0.80.
