Journey, who are set to start their Las Vegas residency in October, have already extended it by four more nights.
The band will perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for the last week of December, including a special December 31 date.
"We don't usually play a New Year's Eve show," keyboardist Jonathan Cain told Billboard. "How quick the [other] shows sold sealed the idea, and this year it made sense for all of us."
Tickets for the new dates, December 27, 28, 30, and 31, go on sale to the general public Friday, August 2.
Journey's founding members Neal Schon, lead guitarist, and Ross Valory, bassist, will be joined by longtime members Cain, keyboardist; Steve Smith, drummer; and Arnel Pineda, lead singer, for the residency.
The previously announced residency dates are October 9, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 23, 25 and 26. All shows begin at 8 p.m.
