Wynnstay Group (WYN.L), an agricultural supplier, announced on Friday that Chief Executive Officer Gareth Davies has stepped down to focus on a serious family matter. However, he will remain on the Board in an advisory capacity as a non-executive director.
Subsequently, the company has appointed Alk Brand as CEO, with effect from October 1.
Following the leave of absence of Davies, Steve Ellwood, chairman, who assumed the role of executive chairman on an interim basis, will relinquish these responsibilities and return to his previous non-executive role on October 1.
Group Finance Director, Rob Thomas also have additional duties to cover the leave.
Brand was previously CEO of Westfalia Fruit Group, a British supplier of fresh fruit and plant-based products to international retail, foodservice, and wholesale markets.
He was also CEO of Hans Merensky Holdings, the governance structure for most of Westfalia Fruit's shareholders.
