Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB Bottom Line Advances In Q1

Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (SWTUY.PK) announced earnings for its first quarter that increased from last year

The company's earnings came in at SEK875 million, or SEK2.52 per share. This compares with SEK800 million, or SEK2.33 per share, last year.

Excluding items, Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB reported adjusted earnings of SEK944 million or SEK2.72 per share for the period.

The company's revenue for the period rose 3.3% to SEK6.465 billion from SEK6.256 billion last year.

Commenting on the first-quarter results, Guido Oelkers, CEO of Swedish Orphan Biovitrum, said: "We continued our solid growth trajectory in the first quarter, with 3 percent growth at CER in the overall portfolio. The portfolio grew 23 percent at CER, excluding the RSV seasonal products and discontinued ReFacto manufacturing revenue in Q1 2024."

Looking ahead, for the full year, the company has reaffirmed its guidance. Swedish Orphan Biovitrum still expects its revenue to grow by a high single-digit percentage at CER. The company also anticipates its annual adjusted EBITA margin to be in the mid-30s percentage of revenue.
