PPHE Hotel Turns To H1 Loss, But Revenue Rises

PPHE Hotel Group Limited (PPH.L) Thursday reported a loss before tax of 10.23 million pounds for the first half, higher than 1.34 million pounds loss in the same period a year ago.

Normalised loss before tax was 3.7 million pounds compared with profit of 2.6 million pounds last year.

Net loss was 2.91 million pounds or 0.07 pounds per share compared with net profit of 3.37 million pounds or 0.08 pounds per share a year ago.

EBITDA or earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization decreased by 5.7% to 45.5 million pounds.

Revenue for the period, however, grew 4.7% to 199.88 million pounds from 190.96 million pounds in the previous year.

On a like-for-like basis, revenue increased 1.3% to 193.3 million pounds.

The Board has proposed an interim dividend of 17 pence per share, to be paid on October 17 to shareholders of record on September 19.
