Supreme Plc (SUP.L), a fast-moving consumer goods manufacturer and supplier, has acquired the trade and intellectual property of the heritage carpet care brand 1001 from WD-40 Company for £1.65 million, including £350,000 deferred consideration.

The deal also includes inventory purchased at book value and potential contingent payments of up to £3 million tied to future sales growth.

Established in the 1940s, 1001 is best known for its Carpet Fresh range, which has strong retail distribution across Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Home Bargains, and B&M Bargains, aligning closely with Supreme's customer base. For the year ended 31 August 2025, the brand is expected to generate around £4.5 million in unaudited revenue. Supreme plans a seamless integration with no disruption to customer service.

Chief Executive Sandy Chadha said 1001 is a trusted British brand with decades of consumer recognition. He noted the acquisition demonstrates Supreme's ability to revitalize established brands using its shared back-office capabilities, with plans to grow the 1001 range and build another strong business vertical alongside its existing portfolio.

SUP.L closed at £185 with no movement on the London Stock Exchange.
