Genuit Group Plc (GEN.L) Friday said in its trading update for the four months ended April 30, 2026, that total Group revenue declined 0.4 percent year-on-year to 198.5 million pounds from 199.3 million pounds last year. On a like-for-like basis, revenue was down 8.7 percent.
The company, which develops plastic piping and energy ventilation systems, said its Climate Division reported revenue 0.4 percent lower year-on-year and 9.7 percent lower on a like-for-like basis. The external environment negatively impacted market volumes, although ventilation performed better than the RMI-focused heating businesses, Genuit Group added.
The company's Water Division recorded a 0.3 percent year-on-year decline in revenue, with like-for-like revenue declining 8.2 percent. Market volumes were also affected by the external environment, with a moderate impact on residential markets and a more significant slowdown in civils and commercial businesses, it added.
Genuit Group expects underlying operating profit for the first half of 2026 to be broadly in line with the previous year on a reported basis, compared to the 44.6 million pounds recorded in the same period last year.
Looking ahead, for the full year 2026, the company predicts Group underlying operating profit to be toward the lower end of current analyst forecasts, which range between 94.7 million pounds and 105.5 million pounds.
The company is scheduled to report its interim results for the six months ending June 30 on August 11.
On the LSE, GEN.L ended Thursday's trading at 261.80 pence, up 1.80 pence or 0.69 percent.
