Billy Joel's "Storm Front" reached the top of the U.S. album chart on December 16, 1989. The LP, Joel's 11th studio effort, included the number-one hit "We Didn't Start The Fire," as well as "The Downeaster 'Alexa'" and "Leningrad."

Co-produced by Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones, "Storm Front" was Joel's first chart-topper since 1980's "Glass Houses."

The album's one-week run at number one was sandwiched between chart-topping stints by Milli Vanilli's "Girl You Know It's True."
