1991 - 'Use Your Illusion I' and 'II' Released
1991 - 'Use Your Illusion I' and 'II' Released

Guns N’ Roses Released their “Use Your Illusion I” and “Use Your Illusion II” albums on September 17, 1991. The albums, released by Axl Rose and company separately on the same day, were the first for the group since their 1988 release “GN’R Lies.” The discs were released in conjunction with the band's Use Your Illusion tour, which went down in infamy and gained much negative press as it was plagued by riots, late starts and cancellations. The albums debuted at number one (II) and two (I) on the Billboard charts, behind such hits as “November Rain,” and covers of Paul McCartney’s “Live And Let Die” and Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”
