Monoclonal antibodies are used in the treatment when other traditional medicines do not respond. A delay in diagnosis and incorrect treatments based on misleading symptoms can prove fatal. There are five groups of drugs used effectively against Lupus: non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs, anti malaria drugs, corticosteroids, immune suppressing drugs and cytotoxic drugs.
