Lupus means “Wolf” in Latin. Caging wolf is a difficult task. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE, commonly known as Lupus, is an autoimmune disease. It is not contagious and does not spread through touch or sexual contacts. Lupus starts when our own body system fails to recognize between healthy cells and invading harmful microbes. Body creates anti-bodies that attack healthy tissues that causes pain, inflammation, and in serious cases, damages to organs. Lifestyle changes and growing urbanization result in more and more cases of Lupus.
