There can be a wide range of symptoms - tiredness, headaches, swollen joins, fever with no reasons, anemia, swelling in limbs, around the eyes, pain in chest on deep breathing, butterfly shaped rashes on cheeks and nose, sensitivity to sunlight, hair loss, weight loss or weight gain, ulcers in mouth or nose, white or blue fingers, etc. It may come and go and different symptoms might appear in different stages of the disease. Hence, it is difficult to diagnose Lupus leading to several patients suffering for years. Any delay in diagnosis can be fatal, as vital organs may be affected.
