The UK, with a score of 83, was in third place in the survey. The vast majority of people in the UK, or 87 percent, would let refugees into the UK. People in the UK are the second-most willing to make refugees welcome in their own homes, with 29 percent of the respondents saying so. On top of that, another 47 percent said they would accept refugees into their neighbourhood. The UK government has continued its opposition to participation in EU efforts to share responsibility and accept a quota system, but has agreed to accept 20,000 from established refugee camps in the region over the next five years.
